Where Theory Becomes Working Hardware
Reading about a bus protocol and commissioning one are different skills. Our Kuala Lumpur facility is built around that distinction: every classroom sits next to a working laboratory, and every laboratory runs the same equipment our engineers deploy on live commercial projects. Remote and hybrid students reach the same benches through supervised remote sessions and instrumented simulators, so nobody certifies on theory alone.
KNX Building Automation Laboratory
Full DIN-rail training racks with actuators, dimmers, bus couplers and diagnostic tooling. Students design a topology, assign group addresses, commission the bus and then deliberately break it, because fault-finding on a live bus is the skill that separates an installer from an engineer.
AI & Computer Vision Bench
GPU-backed workstations running live camera feeds for detection, tracking and recognition work. Students train, evaluate and deploy their own models, and study the false-positive behaviour that decides whether a vision system is safe to put on a real access-control door.
IoT & Edge Prototyping Bench
Sensor pods, gateways, development boards and instrumentation for building a network from bare components. Coursework covers radio selection, power budgeting and the unglamorous reality of packet loss in a concrete building.
Network Infrastructure & Cabling Hall
Nineteen-inch racks, patch panels, fibre termination and certification test gear. Structured cabling is where most smart-building projects quietly fail, so students terminate, test and certify to standard until the results are repeatable.
Remote and hybrid students are not second-class: Online cohorts run the same practical assessments through supervised remote sessions on the physical benches, plus simulators for the repetitive drills. Classroom students get the hardware in their hands; remote students get the same tasks, the same marking rubric and the same certificate. The mode changes the logistics, not the standard.

How You Get In
There is no application fee and no entrance examination. What we do check is that the programme you have chosen is the right one for where you are now, because a student placed in a course above their prerequisites fails slowly and expensively.
The admission process
- Send your enquiry: Complete the enrolment enquiry on this page, or message us directly on WhatsApp. Tell us the programme, your preferred learning mode and your background.
- Advisor review: An academic advisor reads your background against the programme prerequisites. If a different entry point suits you better, we will say so rather than take the enrolment.
- Confirmation on WhatsApp: We confirm your place, your cohort start and the tuition on WhatsApp, so you have the whole conversation in one thread you can refer back to.
- Onboarding and access: You receive platform access, your learning materials and your laboratory schedule, along with the name of the mentor assigned to your cohort.
Entry requirements by level
- Foundation programmes: Basic computer literacy. No prior programming or electrical experience required. Open entry. This is the right starting point if you are changing career into the field.
- Intermediate programmes: A completed foundation programme, or demonstrable equivalent working experience. Advisors accept relevant field experience in place of the foundation certificate.
- Advanced programmes: Relevant intermediate certification plus practical experience in the specialisation. Some advanced programmes additionally require programming or electrical fundamentals.
- Executive programmes: Several years in a technology or facilities leadership role. Designed for people who decide on technology rather than install it.
Tuition, in plain terms
- Every programme shows its full tuition on its card. There are no separate examination or certification charges.
- Tuition includes the video curriculum, laboratory access, the certification assessment and twelve months of platform access.
- Enrol in a multi-programme learning pathway and the bundle discount applies to the combined tuition.
- Corporate and institutional cohorts are quoted per group. Ask us on WhatsApp for a written quotation.
Do Real Engineering Work, Not Coffee Runs
We take a small number of interns at a time, because supervision does not scale and an unsupervised intern learns nothing. If you are accepted you are assigned to a named engineer, given work that ships, and reviewed on it.
What an internship here actually involves
- A real work stream, not a side project: You join an active project in AI, IoT, building automation or systems integration and own a defined piece of it. Your work is reviewed by the engineer responsible for it.
- A named supervisor: One engineer is accountable for your progress, meets you weekly and writes your final assessment. You are never left to guess what you should be doing.
- Laboratory and platform access: You work on the same benches and the same tooling as our certification students, and you sit in on the relevant course modules at no charge.
- A written reference and assessment: You leave with a signed internship completion letter and a written competency assessment you can show a future employer or submit to your university.
Areas we place interns into
- Artificial intelligence & computer vision
- IoT sensor networks & edge computing
- KNX and building automation engineering
- Systems integration & protocol work
- Network infrastructure & structured cabling
- Technical documentation & curriculum support
Who we can accept
- Undergraduates, diploma students and recent graduates in engineering, computer science or a related discipline.
- University-mandated industrial training placements are welcome; we can complete your institution's paperwork.
- A minimum commitment of eight weeks. Below that there is not enough time to hand over meaningful work.
- Applicants outside Malaysia are considered for remote placements where the work stream allows it.
We hire from this pool first: Interns who perform well are the first people we approach when an engineering role opens. You have already been assessed on real work by the person who would manage you, which is worth more than any interview.
One form, one attachment. We read every application and reply on the contact details you give us. If your dates or field of study do not fit a current work stream we will tell you that plainly rather than leave you waiting. WhatsApp
Train a Whole Team at Once
Individual certification builds one capable engineer. Most of the failures we are called in to fix are team failures: the design was sound and the handover was not. Cohort training fixes the handover, because everyone learns the same vocabulary at the same time.
System integrators & contractors
Certify an installation crew to a single standard so commissioning quality stops depending on which technician was on site that week.
Property developers & building owners
Give your facilities team enough depth to specify, accept and operate smart-building systems instead of being led by whoever installed them.
Universities & training institutions
License curriculum, train your instructors and give your students an industry credential alongside their academic qualification.
What Our Credentials Actually Mean
- ISO 9001:2015 — Quality Management System
- Our curriculum development, delivery and assessment run under a documented, audited quality system. In practice it means a course is reviewed on a schedule rather than whenever someone remembers.
- ISO 27001:2022 — Information Security Management
- Student records, assessment data and the personal information you submit are handled under an audited information-security regime with defined access control and retention.
- MSC Malaysia Status — Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation
- Recognition by the national digital economy agency of VYROX as a qualifying technology company, which is what underwrites our standing as a technology training provider.
- KNX Association Partner — Building automation certification
- Our KNX programme prepares candidates for the KNX Association's own international certification. That certificate is issued by KNX, not by us, and is recognised wherever the standard is used.
- CIDB Grade G7 — Construction Industry Development Board
- The highest contractor grade in Malaysia, held by VYROX for project delivery. It is why our instructors teach from current commercial projects rather than from memory.
Being precise about this: VYROX Education certificates are professional certifications issued by VYROX, evidencing assessed competency against our published criteria. They are not academic degrees, and they are not issued by a national qualifications authority. Where a programme leads to a third-party certification such as KNX, that is stated on the programme and the certificate comes from that body. We would rather you know exactly what you are earning.
Common Questions About Our Academic Programs
